Ski and Splitboard Touring
Wānaka Mountain Guides offers a range of group or private ski and splitboard day or multi-day tours around Wānaka or to more remote regions of our local mountains via helicopter. Multi-day options allow further exploration of the Southern Alps / Kā Tiritiri o te Moana including to the luxury Whare Kea Chalet, private huts of the Cass Valley and the glaciers of Mount Aspiring, Aoraki / Mount Cook and Westland National Parks. Courses can include an introduction to ski mountaineering, glacier travel and avalanche skills.

Wānaka Mountain Guides' Mountain Safety Council endorsed avalanche courses cover the skills that ski and splitboard tourers need to keep themselves safe on their backcountry adventures. Get away from the crowds and enjoy the quality snow that often lies untouched beyond the ski field boundary!
